Coordinated individual care planning and shared decision making: staff perspectives within the comorbidity field of practice

Integrated treatment is recommended for users with a comorbidity of mental illness and substance misuse. However, due to divided support system, coordinated individual care planning (CIP) user participation are emphasised provide the necessary support. One way increasing through shared decision making. challenges evident why coordination not used in practice as intended. To contribute knowledge bridge gap between intended CIP process practice, this study examined problems solutions perceived by staff. Future workshops were conducted 17 staff members from social services health care. Problems identified within three main areas: organisation knowledge, among staff, attitudes participation. The agreement previous research, but contributes regarding solutions. Overall, expressed relate improving collaboration providers having more resources conduct work. also assents question if best coordinate or integrated should be future.
